FactoryLab accelerates the digital transformation of industrial companies

A collaboration between large companies, technology suppliers, solution integrators and research institutes leads to the development and marketing of innovative industrial solutions through the realisation of a dozen projects per year.

End-users

Large companies faced with the challenge of adapting and digitalising their production tools.

FactoryLab enables them to deploy solutions that address their need to meet their productivity, quality and safety needs. These innovations are demonstrated directly on the industrial site, in collaboration with the technology providers involved in the project.

  • Benefit from a pool of funding at least 4x greater than their own contribution
  • Value their work eligible for the Research Tax Credit
  • Have access to all the projects carried out by FactoryLab
  • Decide on projects according to their problems and issues

Techno-providers

SMEs, ETIs or large groups have the task of supplying technologies or integrating industrial solutions.

Factorylab helps them access their market and better adapt their products and services to it. They create business links and participate in the design of solutions for which they will be the future commercial operators.

  • Access to the cutting-edge expertise and technology transfer of 33 CEA List laboratories, other CEA entities (LITEN, LETI, DES) and CETIM
  • Possibility to expand their range of solutions by benefiting from the improvement of their own industrial property

Institutes

Centres of expertise and technology transfer (CEA, CETIM or ENSAM) have challenges in adapting their applicative research to the industrial sector.

They bring their skills to bear on projects at high levels of maturity.

  • Confront the operational expectations of industrialists in terms of modernisation
  • Structure their R&D roadmap thanks to the needs expressed

Our history

FactoryLab is the result of the work initiated by Nouvelle France Industrielle (plans 32, Robotics, and 34, Factory of the future) and facilitates the meeting between new technology and the industrial needs of factories of the future.

That was reinforced during the second stage of the investment plan in 2015. It is supported by Alliance Industrie du Futur and BPI, in collaboration with the industrial and academic founding members of the consortium.

Our values

Pooling of resources

We have developed a transverse approach to projects by pooling knowledge, and material and financial resources, for all our partners. Technology providers are thus given an opportunity to present their solutions to industry, and enrich and/or adapt their offerings to the market.

Innovation

Our demonstrators are designed on the basis of mature technology bricks, which are adapted for new uses or combined with each other to address new requirements.

Pragmatism

FactoryLab has taken on the task of( aim at) addressing the shared manufacturing requirements of its partners and providing concrete solutions: a demonstrator in 12 months minimum, with a well-defined purpose, that of industrial deployment.

Agility

Our organisational model allows us to act speedily and adapt to the complexity of each project. Important decisions are validated by a consensus between members.

Exchange

FactoryLab partners work in different areas of activity and have developed specific expertise (productivity, quality management, management of projects with contingencies etc.), which is shared with the community.
